The Rediscover Hour: – Faith Amid Suffering – August 1, 2014

On The Rediscover: Hour, we talk to three local Catholics on the theme of suffering and how to deal with tragedy from a Catholic perspective. Our first guest is Dave Hrbacek, news reporter and photographer for The Catholic Spirit. We will also be joined by Justina Hausman, campus minister at St. Lawrence Catholic Church and Newman Center, who will be talking about her dad’s death at the bridge collapse on August 1, 2007. He survived the collapse, but went back in the water to rescue others. We will then speak with Cathy Deeney, who will be talking about a traumatic accident that she experienced a few weeks ago, and how her faith has helped get her through various trials in her life.

Read Justina's story in The Catholic Spirit.

The Rediscover: Hour is a production of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis in cooperation with Relevant Radio® 1330 AM.
