Recommended Book for Fall 2013:

Prayer for Beginners by Peter Kreeft

Our recommended book for the Rediscover: Catholic Book Club for fall 2013 is Prayer for Beginners by Peter Kreeft. Prayer is an essential part of our relationship with God. But many of us—author Peter Kreeft included—feel as though we are beginners in prayer: perhaps not very good at praying, but having a desire to become better at it. In Prayer for Beginners, Kreeft examines the necessity of prayer, as well as offering simple yet profound advice and practical steps for developing a prayer life, based on the time-tested wisdom of the saints and great spiritual writers.
