What is Confession and why do I need it?

Confession_newIn the video below, Matthew Kelly explains why we need confession. Confession brings peace and makes us whole. It gives us strength, grace, courage, and wisdom. We all have a need to confess our sins, not for God’s sake, but for our sake. Not to help him, but to help us. God has already placed his dream deep within us. All we have to do is draw it out. We need confession because we lose our sensitivity to sin. When we go to confession, we are given more grace to acknowledge temptations and avoid sin.
